Sheep Ranch

Sheep Ranch, opened in 2020 at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, was designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw. Located at 57744 Round Lake Drive, Bandon, Oregon, this 6,785-yard, par-72 course has a rating of 73.5 and slope of 140, ranked No. 15 on Golfweek’s 2025 Top 100 Public Courses. Set along cliffs with nine greens on the Pacific edge, it features a rustic clubhouse with Port Orford cedar woodwork and dining options like Ghost Tree Grill. Its minimalist design maximizes ocean views and natural terrain, earning praise for its raw beauty.

Sheep Ranch plays as a links course with dramatic cliffside holes, where wind and open layouts demand strategic shot-making. The absence of formal bunkers, replaced by natural hazards, challenges golfers to navigate rugged terrain, as seen in the par-4 1st along the ocean. X users highlight its “wild, open feel” and stunning views, noting its playability for all levels but punishing mistakes with its exposed greens. The course rewards creativity, making each round visually spectacular and tactically engaging.
